I was turning left onto a four-lane road, someone going straight on that road hit me. driver’s-side front tire. police came, insurance companies were called, information was exchanged. his car was still drivable but with a bent-up front end. mine was stuck in neutral, and had to be towed.
haven’t heard back yet on if it is repairable or a total loss, need to know that before i decide to either arrange a rental or hoof it to the car dealership down the street. Also, I am waiting for the UPS guy to deliver a package that i need to be here to sign for (something wholly unrelated, there’ll be a post on it later though)
thankfully, nobody was hurt. I’m kinda burned out after my night of panic and morning of frantic phonecalling.

me too. once i got home I just sort of fell over with relief, and called various friends and relatives to let them know that i did have a car accident but walked away unharmed. Enterprise rent-a-car will pick me up tomorrow morning, so I’ll have wheels until the Shoggothmobile is back on its tires.
